immediately at home. Following extensive restoration, the Citta' della
Pieve Hotel offers over 30 delightful bedrooms, a choice of formal and
casual dining, a cosy bar, and a fitness centre with sauna and Jacuzzi.
The hotel's charming décor celebrates Umbria's artisan traditions with wrought
iron, hand-crafted furniture and attractive artwork throughout.
The Hotel was constructed in 1887 by the illegitimate daughter of King Vittorio
Emanuele II, Vittoria Guerrieri di Mirafiori, and was given the name Villa
Mirafiori. Its ornate iron gates open into private landscaped gardens overlooking
medieval churches and verdant Umbrian countryside. Weekly markets, shops,
restaurants, biking and hiking trails, and stables are on the hotel’s doorstep.
Swimming, water sports, golf and tennis are within a 15-20 minute drive.
