The Holiday House Bettona is a mountain villa situated near the
picturesque medieval villages of Bettona and Torgiano.
The umbrian valley stretches before it in the foreground surrounded by the
hills so much cherished by some writers like Hermann Hesse and Ghoete, who
visited Umbria and got inspired for their works.
After the earthquake of September 1997, the european funds devoted to the
safeguard of the artistic and architectonic inheritance, enabled many land
owners to rebuild and refurbish the lovely country houses that are typical
of our land.
That was a "getting back to the roots", a call to the simple country
way of life, so that tourists can enjoy a pleasent stay within the landscape
and nature of Umbria, in a perfectly atmosphere far away from the weary
rhythm of the urban life.
This type of tourism is now becoming more and more popular, as a valid alternative
to the transient tourism, which is typical of towns like Assisi, Perugia,
Gubbio. Over our ten years' experience we've made the art of welcoming an
occasion for aggregation, a new hearty approch different from the traditional
accomodation in hotels and guest houses.
The atmosphere is genuine, joyful and pleasent like it was back in time
when values of the country way of life were deeply felt and respected by
the guests.
That atmosphere is still alive today, thanks to the simplicity so cherished
by day-trippers, who have always been enchanted by the beauty and quietness
of the region. This villa is a typical old umbrian country house, recently
renewed, formed by four independent apartments and a dependance, each of
them fully equipped with bathroom, kitchen, possibility of an extra bed,
color TV set and satellite, heating, functional furniture in the typical
style of the farmhouse.Just outside a large parking space is available.
The courtyard is equipped with benches, tables and a barbecue set for lovely
and pleasent evenings in the open air. There also a well kept garden, a
lawn and swimming pool with showers, solarium and deck-chairs.
We also provide a wide range of activities like mountain bike excursions,
horse rides, guided tours in touristic towns and museums.
At the holiday house Bettona everything is about relax and culture.
