The Holiday Apartments Macerino have been made inside the ancient
castle of Macerino, little village situated at 650 mt. above sea level,
on the top of a mountain covered by a luxuriant pinewood, near Terni. The
reconstruction has been made with professionalism and respecting the ancient
architectonical structure, rebuilding the arches and the niches with pink
stones. The millenary palace, the winding alleys and the wonderful portals
sketch out corners and glimpses of a unique medieval village. The position
of the Holiday Apartments Macerino (Terni) is ideal to go and visit Marmore
waterfalls, the Sibillini national park or to do rafting on the river Corno.
The Holiday House has 14 apartments and can host totally 66 persons. The
apartments have a living room with fireplace, one or two bedrooms, an equipped
Kitchen or Kitchenette and bathroom. They are all well furnished and have
independent warming, TV plug, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen linen.
The holiday house is open all year long. Nearby there's a restaurant where
to taste Umbrian typical dishes and black truffle dishes. You will feel
unexpected sensations, walking or riding an horse or a bicycle along the
paths of the scented woods surrounding Macerino. It's possible to have walking
tours, following the trekking itineraries of Martani Mountains or to ride
a bike through the Valserra Park.
On the access road to the village, there is the mountain hut of Macerino
which is open all year long. It can host 24 people in 3 big rooms, there
are 4 bathrooms, a kitchen and a dining room. It can be rented to single
tourists or to groups at very low rates. The hut is part of the Martani
mountain trekking path.
