Country House Subasio (Assisi) is a choice of harmony, beauty and
nature. The little village, completely refurbished, respecting the old traditions,
is surrounded by 18 hectares of trees. Here is possible to have long walking,
to go out with mountain bikes or to enjoy horse riding. At an altitude of
800 meters above sea level, Country House Subasio (Assisi) is completely
immersed in “Mount Subasio” natural Park and offers an unforgettable view
of the surrounding mountains. From here you can easily recognise the famous
“Rocca di Assisi” (the ancient fortress).
Life inside the Village is simple and characterized by rhythms
in complete harmony with the atmosphere. A careful selection of ingredients,
chosen among our farm’s products, allows us to prepare special dishes from
ancient recipes of Umbrian -Tuscan traditional culture.
Respect of tradition means rediscovering scents and “ancient” tastes, thanks
to the use of simple but genuine products. The meat we use in cooking comes
only from our animal farms: cows (Chianina) and pork (the black pig) are
breaded naturally in our fields. We produce our selves a selection of cold
meats, like salami and ham and we store them in cellars for a good seasoning.
Attentive care and a special dedication are both taken during the production
phase and in the delicate transformation phase. This allows us to offer
great quality on every single product we make: from pasta to oil, cheese,
salami and beer.
The Country House has 12 double / twin rooms with bathroom, divided
in 3 different structures. All of them furnished with lovely antiques of
the ‘900, offering various combinations and solutions of services and spaces
according to customer’s need. From every room there’s a beautiful view of
the surrounding valleys, and there’s a great calm and peace all around,
to relax in contact with uncontaminated nature.
The “Cedro del Libano”: is the house rising near a beautiful Citron
Tree “Cedro del libano”, with double rooms available, a big independent
entrance and a single room with bathroom. Bed linen change every 3 days.
The “Granaio”: inside the old granary, wonderfully refurbished,
we have build 4 large double rooms with bathroom, desk, wardrobe, and the
chance of adding a third bed. All these rooms have a beautiful panoramic
view on the farm and the valley. Bed linen change every 3 days.
The “Casa Padronale”: inside this building there are 3 large double
rooms with bathroom, desk, wardrobe, and the chance of adding a third bed.
There’s also a beautiful tearoom in the entrance, and a panoramic view of
the valley. Satellite TV and daily bed linen change.
The “Fienile”: from the old hayloft, we obtained on the ground
floor two very large double rooms. They have independent entrance, little
loft and tea corner, bedroom and bathroom. Satellite TV and daily bed linen
change.
Main services: breakfast, half board, full board, typical products
shop, swimming pool, credit cards, wine and oil tasting, beer production
and tasting, rooms ad facilities for disables. Sport and wellbeing:
horse riding, walking, mountain bike rental, trekking. Educational farm:
for all ages, with the possibility of learning how to make bread, biscuits,
pasta or how are produced oil, cheese, beer. It is also taught how to breed
animals: pigs, bovines, horses and other farmyard animals. Other services:
parking, park, amusement park, reading and reception room, meeting room,
TV, animals admitted, cooking class.
